Trinity Knot Failte Wall Hanging

Although its origins are unclear, the trinity knot is thought to have represented the eternal, intertwining nature of life, death, and rebirth in ancient Irish spiritual practices. Today, Catholics often interpret it as representative of the holy trinity-- the father, the son, and the holy spirit.

This carving is made using intarsia, the ancient art of overlaying various woods into a solid wooden surface. This ornament was made using seven different woods!
